This project rounds out our fifth campaign produced for the talented team at TextNow, led by Thomas Zukowski, Zamir Wassermiller, and Jason Roudnev. Per usual, these three came to us with dialed, pre-tested concepts, a clear understanding of their audience and who they were speaking to, and were ready to roll from the initial text message.
As a Key Creative Partner to many of our clients who we have a Direct-to-brand relationship with, we’ve found over the years that we really shine when we can serve as an extension to an existing, organized, pro in-house marketing team that isn’t afraid to push the limits. And the team at TextNow are honestly great examples of this. They internally concept a range of different campaign ideas before coming to us, and then beta test these concepts with audiences to see which campaign resonates the strongest with the audience they are trying to serve. We then get brought in to bring that specific campaign to life and the TextNow team is able to focus their marketing dollars into a proven campaign to ensure we are all being the stewards we can with the overall budget.
Unapologetically fueled by everyone’s love of the Atlanta series, this particular concept leaned heavily on solid talent, who could have a very natural back-and-forth conversation about the ridiculousness of having apps for every use case imaginable these days. From reminding us to drink water, to telling us if it’s dark outside, to identifying a plant species with just a photo - the technological world we live in today is wild to say the least. The one thing you don’t think of being a free service though, is your phone service. And that’s exactly what TextNow does.
Shot on location in Denver, Colorado over the course of one day, the TextNow team flew in to be with us on-set and it was a real gift to get to all be together. In a day and age where prompting a computer to generate information and ideas is becoming the norm, there really is something magical (and profitable!) about people getting to ideate LIVE, in a room together, and building upon each other’s ideas on the fly.
All in all, thanks to a streamlined and dialed pre-production process (lead by La Storia's in-house team + Director: Jesse Selwyn, Producer: Andrea Nordgren, And Director of Photography: Jonathan Boal) our rockstar crew helped us capture enough content over 1x filming day to deliver 44x total deliverables, across 3 different aspect ratios. Additionally, were able to hire 22 local crew members and vendors here in Colorado for this project.
Thank you to our amazing talent, Kevin Curtain & CJ Hammond who understood the assignment from the second they auditioned and to everyone who touched this project in some capacity. If we are the company we keep, we are damn proud to be stand alongside you all.
