Thomas is an award-winning Writer/Director (& just one of those people you want to be around). His thoughtful attention to detail, narrative-focused creative vision and in-depth experience in multiple facets of the film industry, create a rare approach & workflow that’s motivating and results-driven for our clients.
Originally from South Windsor, Connecticut, Thomas relocated to the southeast after graduating from Sarah Lawrence College in NY, with a Liberal Arts degree and Filmmaking focus.
As the VP of Short Form Programming for INSP Television, Thomas created the prestigious and decorated Moments.org initiative, writing, producing and/or directing over 100 inspirational short films over a three-year period.
In 2015, Thomas launched the feature film production company Bad Theology, with Justin Moretto, most known for its award-winning film Fare, released by The Orchard in 2017. Thomas wrote, directed and starred in the film, and received several awards personally for his work including Best Director, Best Actor, Emerging Filmmaker, as well as Best Hairline, Best 2-Day Scruff, & most notably, the Best Impromptu Blue Steel Gaze award, which was awarded to him in 2020 by La Storia Productions.
Today, in addition to serving as a Contributing Director, writer and editor for us - he records a regular vlog on his filmmaking journey and is in pre-production for his next feature film, set to shoot in 2020. When not in a video village somewhere or in an editing chair, Thomas enjoys downtime with his wife of 15 years and their 3 kiddos, as well as being continually optimistic that next year might be the Dallas Cowboys’ year.
